Alkaline Ash Foods

It is recommended that our diets consist of 80% alkaline ash foods.  These foods leave an alkaline ash as the body burns them for fuel.
Almonds, Apples, Apricots, Avocados, Bananas, Beans (all), Beets, Blackberries, Brazil Nuts, Broccoli, Brussel sprouts, Buckwheat, Cabbage, Cantaloupe, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery Cherries, Coconut, Dates, Figs, Grapefruit, Grapes, Green beans, Lemons, Lettuce, Lima beans, Limes, Millet, Molasses, Mushrooms, Onions, Oranges, Peaches, Pears, Peas, Pineapple, Potatoes, Radishes, Raisins, Raspberries, Rutabagas, Sauerkraut, Soybeans, Spinach, Squash, Strawberry, Tangerine, Tomatoes and Watermelon.

There are two categories of Acid Ash foods – one slightly better.  It is recommended that our diets consist of 20% of these foods.  These foods leave an acid-ash when our bodies burn them for fuel.

Better Acid AshBarley, Blueberries, Corn, Honey, Lentils, Oatmeal, Pasta, Rice (all).

Flours –  ALL – (recommended to eliminate white flower), Carob, Cranberries, Dairy – ALL, Fish – ALL, Meat – ALL, Nuts – Most, Peanut Butter, Plums, Poultry – ALL, Prunes *Recommended to avoid – Alcohol, Coffee, Pop/Soda
